Judith
Baity has been privileged to have her works performed
throughout the country for several years. Her large body
of sacred choral pieces are performed on a regular basis
by the Heritage Chorale of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ella Washington,
Director. Many other groups have programmed Ms. Baity's
pieces, including the Milwaukee Choristers, James Kinchen,
Director, the Bach Chamber Choir, the Michigan State University
Women's Glee Club, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra
String Ensemble. Her composition, GIVE GOD THE GLORY was
a featured work at the 1989 Jackson State University Choral
workshop, Robert Morris, Director. Another composition,
UNDERSTANDING LOVE was featured at the 63rd Annual Hampton
University Choir Directors Workshop in 1996 under the leadership
of Roland Carter. Her work AT CALVARY for Bb Clarinet and
string ensemble was premiered in 1995 by the Milwaukee Symphony
Orchestra String Ensemble under the baton of Neal Gittleman.
Her Christmas cantata, MARY'S STORY, has been performed
by many choral groups. It uniquely tells the Christmas story
from Mary's point of view.
The Mary McLeod Bethune Suite was premiered
on October 3, 2003 at the new Performing Arts Center of
Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida The well
received performance was the inauguration of the year-long
celebration of the Colleges 100th anniversary.
