Judith Baity continues to compose musical pieces in a wide variety of styles and genrés. Her many compositions, written for solo voice, children's choir, chorus, solo piano, chamber and full orchestra, have been performed nationally and internationally for several years. Songs from her NGUZO SABA, KWANZAA SONGS FOR CHILDREN are sung each year at Kwanzaa celebrations throughout the country. The tribute work, THE MARY MCLEOD BETHUNE SUITE was premiered in 2003 for the opening of the performing arts center at Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida. Songs from this suite are performed on a regular basis.
Her large body of sacred choral pieces is performed regularly by the Heritage Chorale of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ella Washington, Director. Many other groups have programmed Ms. Baity's pieces including the Milwaukee Choristers, James Kinchen, Director, the Bach Chamber Choir, the Michigan State university Women's Glee Club and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble under the baton of Neil Gettleman. Her Christmas cantata, MARY'S STORY, has been performed by many choral groups. It uniquely tells the Christmas story from Mary and Joseph's point of view.
